Say hello to our LTG Elect for the 2017-18 term, Roselyn Romero! See what see has to offer and what she looks forward to as our future Lieutenant Governor! Aloha, Arctic Foxes! My name is Roselyn Romero and I am the Lieutenant Governor Elect for Division 42 West for the 2017-2018 term. I am currently a junior at Channel Islands High School and I have been a member of Key Club for the past three years. During my sophomore year, I was the club editor as well as the Executive Assistant. This year, I have served as the club president and the Executive Assistant for the second year in a row. Outside of Key Club, I am the Vice President of the California Scholarship Federation Club, a member on the Mock Trial team, a sprinter for Track and Field. I am also on the Youth Directors’ Council, an organization that does community service around the Oxnard-Ventura area. I currently have a 4.56 GPA and my favorite subject is English. My dream universities include UC Berkeley, UCLA, and Columbia University. In the future, I aspire to be a journalist or an author someday. This upcoming term, I aim to increase the number of members in our Division as well as amplify member participation in Division-wide events, like Division Council Meetings. Additionally I’d like to raise at least $875 for the Pediatric Trauma Program as well as encourage more fundraisers toward our preferred charities, such as March of Dimes and the Children’s Miracle Network. I also want to implement more Division-wide socials to promote inclusiveness, one of the core values of Key Club. I will also work hard with my Division Leadership Team to make our Division stand out events like Fall Rally South and to ensure that all clubs in our Division are active and running smoothly. I promise to make this upcoming term filled with fun, service, and a family bond like no other. I look forward to my term and I cannot wait to serve you all. Arctic Foxes, let’s make our Ohana even greater than before! With Honesty, Sincerity and Integrity, Roselyn Romero
